Proper preparation and planning are critical to the installation of any new septic system. Before the tank(s) can be placed on your property, an area needs to be excavated for both the new tank, plumbing, and potential leaching field to go along with it. AE Wood Corp’s Excavation crew will dig a large hole for the tank(s) in the exact location needed for the new system. Proper placement of the tank(s) assures that the system as a whole will operate as designed. We take great care through each step of Septic System Installation process to ensure the overall system is installed properly, but especially in this step as it sets the stage for the rest of the job and the system’s future success.

After we’ve carefully excavated & prepped the area for the new tank(s) in your yard, we call for the tank(s) to be delivered & placed. A tank typically arrives by way of a special heavy crane truck that is designed to place the tank in the proper location. This high precision when placing the tank allows us to make sure everything is perfect aligned before we fill in around the tank and clean up the site.

The last portion of the install is the site cleanup & seeding (if applicable to your location). After the tank is placed into the ground and covered with earth, we take our time to rake out the top soil and grade everything back to as close as it was before the job started. Depending on weather conditions (no rain) and time-of year (not winter), we’ll return when conditions are optimal to hand seed or hydro-seed the area. If opting for hydro-seeding, you’ll be absolutely amazed at how quickly the grass grows with consistent day-to-day watering. You could have mow-able grass in a little as two weeks.
